Greetings all,

We've had to make a slight reschedule of the version 1.1 update for Sins to Wednesday (November 19th).  We're using this extra time to setup some additional download servers so that everyone's update is fast.  We apologize for the delay but feel the extra time will be well worth it.

Sincerely,

Stardock & Ironclad

Bah L4D. NWN2: Storm of Zehir is out (downloading right now, go go D2D). Means I get a few hours of it tonight after work 30 hours of gameplay in an expansion, 5.8gb download

With the extra time we decided to include the following fixes to bugs that were recently reported:

-Fixed bug with the Vasari's Assault Specialization and Weapon Jamming.

-Fixed bug with Mini-Underground window potentially putting bounty or yourself.

-Antorak Marauder:
 Distort Gravity:
 - duration increased from 20s to 30s at all levels
 - its Phase Jump Inhibitor immunity benefit now affects all friendly ships rather than just the Marauder
 - Phase Jump Inhibitor immunity should now work in all circumstances

Wow, was really looking forward to this being released today. Stardock should of been far more careful in deciding the initial release date of this new update. No matter the excuse given, this should of been factored in long before a release date should of been released.

Thanks as always and keep up the good work What's with the new forum account?

Lol, YAY!!! this time tomorrow....i'll be downloading it in between classes!!!! then playing it later...like maybe not even tomorrow...well can't wait anyway.  but i'm more excited to hopefully be able to get into the beta of Entrenchment...

Thanks guys!  It's a whole lot better to wait an extra day and have everyone download quickly than to have everyone struggling to get the files on time.  Yeah, it should have been ready for today but kudos for making the hard call to anger a few impatient people instead of angering everyone because it takes forever.

It's the right move to do things right.

I too am looking forward to the entrenchment beta......bring it on!

Annatar you play NWN2 too   SWEET!

D&D FTW!!!

On a sidenote, it's a real drag v.1.1 ain't coming out today seeing as I have NO university whatsoever and did all my Homework in order to be able to dash away at it! Tomorrow I'm bloody busy...CRAP! Back to having to w8ing a week before I can finally sit down and play

I used to play P&P too. And no, I'm not that old

Awesome games, the NWN series. I felt Mask of the Betrayer paid good homage to Planescape: Torment as far as the story/feel went, and Storm of Zehir should bring it closer to Baldur's Gate/Icewind Dale

Needless to say, I'm having trouble not leaving work early.

At least we are patient, that's a good thing. In the other hand i think SD and IC gonna be more frustrating for sure. Imagine you have to tell rage gamers that they have to wait another day, that's gonna be scary for them too

on Nov 18, 2008

Yeah. At least IC is in Canada, so they probably figure most people probably aren't crazy enough to cross the border. And SD is in Michigan, so they have Robocop.

@Stardock: Please build some kind of P2P mechanism into Impulse! Come on, do you really see any benefit in distributing downloads (the 1.1 patch might be around 250MB, but how big will Entrenchment be???) centralized?

The problem with P2P is that it can not provide a consistent and uniform experience.  Some days you may get a great dl rate, other times it may suck.  Then there's the problem of ISPs doing traffic shaping on P2P traffic, or blocking it completely.

It's generally a bad idea to pin distribution of major content to a service you yourself don't control
