Stardock Corporation announced today that the first micro-expansion to Ironclad’s Strategy Game of the Year, Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment, is undergoing further incorporation of beta feedback to maximize quality and will now be available February 25 for download on Stardock’s digital download platform, Impulse (www.impulsedriven.com).

"One of Stardock’s key strategies for success with past games has been the incorporation of player feedback from our open betas," said Stardock President and CEO Brad Wardell. "We want fans to get the most of this expansion and are making sure we’re delivering the best content possible."

The additional time will allow for Ironclad’s development team to incorporate feedback to date and allow for another round of beta testing.

Ironclad’s Blair Fraser stated, "It’s of paramount importance to everyone that what we’re releasing is the best and most robust content we can."

Sins of a Solar Empire was IGN.com’s “PC Game of the Year” and achieved numerous “Strategy Game of the Year” awards and “Best of 2008” mentions from distinguished media outlets including G4TV, Gamespy.com, Wired, Gamasutra.com, Gametrailers.com and Gamespot.com.

Lies! It's $9.95. And no, the tilde doesn't absolve you from the wrongness of your answer even though its usage was correct.

*coughs*.

True. Buy two hundred copies of Entrenchment, and you'll be able to afford another one with the savings.

It's 12 minutes past February 25..PST. I'm EST. So what gives?

on Feb 25, 2009

Technically we got 23hours 15mins to go. Depending on Time Zone of course.  Hell, In Australia I think it might even be the 26th by now.

WHUR IS IT?!

on Feb 25, 2009

In Switzerland, it's 9:23 am. The morning of the 25th...

on Feb 25, 2009

Feb 25th, as of start of business in their time zone, maybe?

So 8 or 9am I think, in whatever timezone they use...

Wait until then to start complaining

Give them time for the morning coffee when they get to work at least. I've seen it said that certain employees go on a rampage and hold the release hostage without their coffee.

For how small the Ironclad team is, and how dedicated to the community they are, I always just assumed they were hyper-advanced game design cyborgs that developed sentient thought, and cyborgs don't need coffee.  Or do they...  I must warn the masses.

It is officially February 25th. I hope that Entrenchment final retail gets released today. Come to think of it, it has been delayed six times, but for good cause though.

We can't wait to try its final version. More power to Ironclad and Stardock!

Everyone... needs... coffee.

Period.

Infact... I demand a coffee smiley.
