The April/May 2008 issue of Games for Windows Magazine is dominated by Sins of a Solar Empire, with mentions on the cover, review section and more!

The Games for Windows team rated Sins with an A- plus an Editor's Choice award saying, "While games like Medieval II have tried to marry the tenets of Civilization and StarCraft, Sins is the first game to successfully do so without storing them in separate compartments."

The April/May issue is now available at newstands.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

We pillage, we plunder, we rifle and loot.
Drink up me 'earties, Yo Ho!
We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot.
Drink up me 'earties, Yo Ho!

Yo Ho, Yo Ho! A pirate's life for me.

We are all sinners.

Sorry, but to get that the game would have to have a big advertiser's logo plastered all over the box and be renamed to:

- "Sins at War" (Empires at War is sort of taken)
- "Solar Wars I: The Sinful Empire"
- "Sinscraft"
- "Sins of a Solar Empire III Carbon Black Special Limited Super Duper Edition"
- "The Sins: Empires in Spaaaaaace!"
- "Solar Empire Tycoon"
- "Solar Life, Episode I"
- "Sins of a Solar Empire for Xbox360"
- "Sins of a Solar Empire with Games for Windows Live" (I just about puked while thinking of that one )
- "Tom Clancy's Sins of a Solar Empire"
- "Solar Empire 4000 Unlimited Limited Edition"

A- is really good for this kind of game. The reviews are a little skewed because of the magazine's bias (like most review sites), but overall it looks fair. Nice review and score. Very deserving... *cough* unlike some other recent games *cough*.

Or maybe the game deserved an A- and nothing more? Get your head out of your asses, people... it's a good game with plenty of flaws.

Congrats

Well everything one produces has flaws, this game has established itself as a first for many things (for me not being a boring 4x) and it deserves an A just for that.

Congratulations though! Ironclad and Silicon Knights are my two favorite dev teams!

thank you! The new Computer Gaming World got it right!
