Woot! Looking forward to it.

They didn't give it much time, but the game he had running looked sweet. I just wonder what kind of hardware it was running on. I'd get it if I thought I had a chance at running it decently at even near that level of graphics.

It was running on Brad's laptop. ThinkPad T60. Nothing particularly powerful.

oh ok thanks . I have been resisting the urge to buy it till I could confirm how well it would run with a demo or something. I know though an upgrade is in my near future, and SOASE will be as well

In case you missed it, G4 has the video of the interview/demo here:

eh. It most likely is wonderful, if you are into that sort of thing, RTS. I prefer the TBS myself.

Nice . Probably going to see it on my iPod - I've subscribed to X-Play's podcasts.

I can't believe G4 canceled all of the other good shows when they took over Tech TV. Makes me wonder why they took it over in the first place.

But now we have TWiT and WebbAlert . Good to see they didn't give up when G4 canceled their shows.

Sins looks pretty cool - I'm a big fan of GalCiv 2, the Command and Conquer series, the Civ series, and a bunch of other strategy games. I'm very interested in this approach of combining two popular strategy genres, and it should prove to be fun .

Same here, but that's why Sins is so unique - it blends both turn-based and RTS beautifully.  For instance, you know how ginormous games of GC2 can last weeks or months?  You can create the same thing in Sins with maps of any size your PC can handle. You can set the speed of research, resource generation, etc. to make truly epic games (or vice versa if you prefer a faster, more RTS experience).

Very cool. I wasn't planning to buy this--not being a fan of RTS other than Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander--but if it can be scaled to be slow-moving, allowing more thought and less twitch, then I'll have to consider this.

I don't like getting into a contest of clicks-per-minute. If I can enjoy this without a frenzy of clicking, it'd be nice.

Is Stardock going to release a demo of Sins? It looks all very nice on the videos, but I'd like to get some first hand experience with the game before I decide to buy it.

There should be a demo about a month after release.

i read a lot of this game, and i mean this game is one of the best games that Stardock make it, but why this game come to europe in stores
on Feb 15, 2008
Thus far, Stardock's been unable to get a publishing/distributing deal over in Europe. Most of the publishers there believe Europeans won't play space strategy games, and so no one will pick it up.

Cant think why I didnt see this before re European Distributor - anyone know whether or not this is still the case? If it is, I'll get one - and a good one, I have some good contacts I can use to ferret out a distributor. Hell, there maybe a culture difference US/UK, but common sense is the same either side of the Atlantic, especially where the best selling PC game of 2008 to date is concerned .....
