Tyler Sager over at Gaming Nexus has just posted his hands-on preview for Sins of a Solar Empire. The article gives a nice overview of the game for new players concluding with, "I have a feeling this is going to be the Really Big strategy title of 2008, and I anxiously await the final version of this galactic empire gem."

Nice article, but he really need to change those screenshots as they are over a year old

i like that he goes into the depth of the game and explaining the use of fleet points and the different requirements on how to get better stuff

What worries me is he said "While I only got to play around with a limited selection of units" I wonder if he feels the number is going to be greater than what we already have for the TEC?

A) there are two more races to add to what we have, and while they cannon add "new" units at this point in the development cycle, things that are already in development are going to be added, such as some new units and some UI features.

Actually they have access to the beta (I just don't think they've picked up on the game).

Yeah... I don't think they're very RTS gamers. They didn't cover Sup. Comm. or C&C 3, if I recall correctly (which I probably don't).
