Marc Saltzman, whom I've known for a number of years, has written a head-to-head style interview with Jack Thompson (an anti-gaming advocate & trial lawyer) and Henry Jenkins (Director of Comparitive Media Studies at MIT and a gaming advocate) for 1up.com. I read this interview last night and Jack Thompson comes off like a wacko. You read Jenkins replies and they're all measured and calm. Then you look at Thompson and he's constantly flying off the handle, acting all irrational. Its amazing how anyone could take him seriously and some of the things he says seem downright libelious.

You know... I have my opinions about violence in video games and although I know that it can have a lasting effect on individuals who play them (either directly or indirectly as recent studies are beginning to show), I just cringe at Jack Thompson inability to speak tactfully and mindfully. He seems exactly as Raineman states... "...like a wacko." He needs to calm down just a little bit if he intends on persuading people.
