Beastfeast

I've found a major bug. After researching star base mobilisation as the vasari rebels I was unable to move my star bases to other planet wells. I was given a false notification 'there is already a star base in that planet well' when there was nothing there. I tested this with multiple star bases to the same effect.

 

This is something that happened a few patches back or something in an attempt at balancing the mobile Starbases, unfortunately they way they did it means even if the planet/star entity allows more than one starbase you still can't send more than one there. (unless you build them in the well, but even then mobile starbase cannot jump to that well)

 

It's been quite a frustration to me, as I was working on a system of using starbases as capital ships.

Have I missed any good arguing?  I've been playing other things and haven't been by this forum in a while.

In other news, i was just playing the current beta now and while dutifully exploring every planet I acquired (10 before I quit) since that is ostensibly the thing now, I only found 2 things; jack and shit.  Even the AI didn't find any artifacts.  I am 99% sure I was on a random medium and NOT a competitive map because when i quit and went to start a new game, the random medium map was highlighted.

 

edit: just want to add that i played the beta a couple weeks ago and it seemed like there was more stuff to find (and artifacts were stronger).

If you REALLY care, you can use archived searching on Google to find an old version of that thread....I've done this in the past to glean info off of nuked threads, works just fine if you are willing to deal with some screwy formatting...
