yes they usually do but they are requiring you to buy the game twice which is total crap. i could totally understand if you only had to buy the collectors Ed. and not have to own the game first

Actually this isn't true, you are required to purchase the digital version, then go upgrade to the CE, which does not include another serial. So no, you are not paying for the game twice.

this is the stupidest thing ever, you have to buy the rebellion game for 40$ then you can buy the collectors addition that comes with the game disc for another 70$ plus 10$ shipping thats 120 fucking dollars!! diablo 3 collectors Ed. was only 100$ plus shipping which was only like 5$ and i love sins of a solar empire but diablo is a WAAAAY more liked and famous game, if diablo had priced there game like sins then they could have gone for 200$ and still sold just as many!

This box isn't some small crappy item, its 11.25 x 10 x 6.75 and is holding items that are heavy, metal and awesome...promise it's more than worth the money.

I live in the US and it's still $13. Totally worth it. It also is probably heavy with the kol and retail box. Is it true that these ship late July?

Yes, it's over 4.5 lbs actually!

Here I am holding the Sins: Rebellion collector's edition!

on Jul 03, 2012

ok in a sense we are both right, because no it does not come with another serial but it does came with a disk for the game

on Jul 03, 2012

i didn't say it was small or crappy, im just saying the way they priced it was ridiculous. 70$ to upgrade to CE? to Diablo 3 to CE was only 40$ and its about a 6lb. box. regardless im still probably going to upgrade to the CE haha i really want that Kol model, i already have the game and its damn awesome

on Jul 05, 2012

Seeing this, I am struck with a sudden, desperate need to get this.

Then I remembered I'm down to $14, total.

Now I'm very, very sad.

48$ shipping to Canada?  Yeesh, why is it that Norway and the UK have cheaper shipping than me?  I was willing to pay 70$ for the 'upgrade', but I'm not going to pay 118$ just for some trinkets, on top of the 30$ I already paid.

on Jul 06, 2012

make it an advent package and im sold

It's obvious some folks don't understand how discounting works when companies order items like this. A lot of the cost is front loaded then is discounted by the # of units purchased which is low in this case. Trying to compare to Diablo 3 CE is an apples to oranges comparison because of this.

It's also being sold "at cost", that means Stardock is NOT making any money on this. These guys like games and wanted to give something cool to fans to purchase "if" they could afford it. I think that's pretty cool and several I know are gladly taking advantage of it.

It's outside of my price range currently, but that doesn't mean I think the price is outrageous.

And... apparently you hobo79 think the price is reasonable for a Kol model or you wouldn't be considering purchasing it
