It's not really obvious. I found it by accident while cleaning junk from my computer. Had no idea why that folder was so big.

C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Impulse\backup

On Vista at least.

I found the file, thanks!

It's an odd file with no real executable....so it's basically worthless since there's no way to activate it.

Frustrating that it didnt come as a zip or an exe etc.

(one of the main reasons why buying a hard copy is the preferred way to go)

So where is the manual that covers all of the new stuff?

on Feb 26, 2009

Need to have Impulse installed to use the archive file.

I'll probably be releasing an update guide tomorrow. Just been really busy today making sure the launch went smooth and stable.

Would it be possible for Stardock to include in the manual tomorrow a way to burn Entrenchment into a DVD disc? Sometimes we need to reformat our PCs and it would be faster to install the game from a DVD. Stardock could find a way to make sure that no pirated copies could be made, such as the requirement that after we install Entrenchment from a DVD, it becomes a requirement that we register the product online for activation purposes.

It's just a little suggestion, of course. If there would be any better recommendation from the devs or other players, I am open to it.

You can archive the application in Impulse, burn the archive to disk, then restore the archive using Impulse.

As Kitkun said, it's an Impulse specific archive. If you click the blue orb, you'll see an option to restore an archive. You then point it to that file, and voila

Is Entrechment a multilanguage version and support french ?

on Feb 26, 2009

Yes, you should be able to install the French version from Impulse. Please note that there is one crash related to the French version that IC has hotfixed, and the hotfix should be public soon.

Congrats I will be playing this weekend. Can't wait for more micros. Also I did have fun beta testing so hopefully that makes the game almost 100% stable.

Im sure the reason is the way the engine load and processes information. I would assume it would cause a desync or mini dump if you could use previous verison saved games.
