Sins of a Solar Empire version 1.05 is now available to all registered owners of the game.  This new update includes two new maps plus a number of multiplayer and single-player fixes. For a full change log, please check out this thread.

To obtain the new patch, just click on the Download Updates button from the Sins main menu, or use our new Impulse client (beta).

I can't get my v1.04 save games to work either :/ Five hours of gaming gone down the crapper.

I had the same problem with impulse a while back.

just go to www.sinsofasolarempire.com/updates

note that you have to login to the website to get updates

well well,... finally its playable. you did a great work mates ^^
alas, i did get two "MiniDumps" in my current game.

maybe because im playing already co-op with my younger brother over 14 hours,
against two hard AIs on a 3-Star-System with Mods.
maybe because of the Mods

all in all,... its playable

Well I postponed the patch until I was 60% bored with current save games... new games work good, but my save games dont load and crash with minidumps

Previous saves are typically not compatible.  If they load at all, your mileage will vary with them.

Well, yes, but you said that 1.04 save files should work in 1.05. They don't. Not that I mind much...

When I try to host online other players say when they try to join my game they get disconnected or the game can not be found. Some players say I need to open ports. Others say something about firewall. If I have to open a port I would need a name for it and a number. What do I do?

Got the patch and installed it but main menu still says V1.3 is that correct?

Never mind, I think it's V1.3 of a mod.

Ran 1.04 fine for hours and hours of play. I have never had any issues.

Installed 1.05 - now the screen flashes out every 5-10 seconds in the main menu and the game locks up completely when I launch the game (Single player); usually within 10-15 seconds.

Newest Nvidia and DX drivers. SLI'd 7900 GT's on an AMD 64X2 system running Windows XP Pro. Anyone else having similar issues?

does this patch take away the home planet every time the game starts? Now when i begin a game, i dont have a home planet and all of my money starts draining.

Has anyone else noticed that the Advent Projenitor Motherships don't use their shield restore very wisely on their own? If a ship is in need of it's shield, but the overall fleet doesn't have shielding below, like, 60-70%, it won't use it. This often leads to a 80% shield, then ship destroyed, and it goes on and on and on. Eventually, this leads to the eventual devastation of the fleet, and by the time there are few enough ships that it will regularly use the Shield Restore properly, it's already too late. I personally don't like focusing on my invasion, with balanced fleets everywhere and able to assist a solar system, should it come under trouble, and then look back and find out that a defending fleet got massacred while the reinforcments were arriving because of this. This is just my experience. I realize most people while just think "Just tell it to when you need to.", and some of the time I can, but most of the time there is just too much going on to focus on that particular battle.
